Motion and Spin Magic

THE QUANTUM WAVE FUNCTION IN MOTION

Particles that make up atoms have a property called spin. Protons, neutrons, electrons and quarks have a baffling spin called spin one-half. Their spin one-half property has never been satisfactorily explained. In A Brief History of Time, Stephen Hawking used playing cards to try to explain the problem.

He rotated the card, then, rotated it again, and, of course, it was right side up. A spin one-half particle is still upside down after a full rotation, so it needs another complete turn to be right side up. There has been no explanation for this, until now.

The way to demonstrate spin one-half is to flip the playing card over using the edge of the forward face like a hinge. Now flip the card to the right. This sequence of movements includes our forward motion as well as defining spin one-half because now it is upside down! It takes two more steps to restore the original face. Atoms are stepping across the cardinal positions of space at the speed of time. The time it takes to make this translation at the speed of light is equivalent to one blink of an eye a minute. The move is like a two step heartbeat, lub-dub. The atom is ‘at rest’ against the whole fabric of the cosmos for 99.8% of the time, moving once of five hundred equivalent paces of light! All our motion that we perceive is one instant out of five hundred. 500:1. This ratio approximates our measured motion of 600 km/sec, which is 1/500th the speed of light.

Pace of matter through the cosmic microwave background is equal to the speed of light divided by the velocity of matter:

In this formula, V is the velocity of matter through space; c, the speed of light is a constant and the cosmic background is another constant, the rest frame of the universe. With two absolute references, our velocity through space becomes a pace, a flow of time.

QUANTUM GRAVITY

Quantum mechanics and gravity do not mix according to physicists. They are like oil and water. However, they come together with the inclusion of motion at the particle level. All the planets, our earth included, are falling into the Sun but their trajectory causes them to miss their moving target on every pass, just like the naive quarterback aiming directly at the moving receiver. The movement of such huge bodies at high speed adds kinetic energy creating very stable paths.

Normally, centripetal forces are necessary to prevent a planet from flying off into space. This is a phantom force and is unnecessary when high speed motion is accounted for in the solar system. Planets would not fly away from the Sun because of their synodic motion. Newton’s second law states that an object will continue in its present motion unless an external force is applied to it. If the Sun were to disappear, the planets would continue on the path they were on, without any abrupt turn, spreading apart slowly by about four degrees maximum.

General Relativity is a theory about fields squeezed by large masses like the Sun and Earth. Physicist John Wheeler put it this way: “Spacetime tells matter how to move; matter tells spacetime how to curve.” Our yearly path through space is a sine wave but for us, it is the shortest distance around the Sun, so it is a geodesic, a straight line through space.

This conception, taken to its logical scientific conclusion would mean that from our moving earth platform, it is the Sun that must move across the sky each day, just as we see it. If it is the Sun that moves across the sky, then a sun-centred solar system must be wrong. It is an earth-centred solar system and on Mars it would be a Mars-centred solar system. We observers don’t say “What a beautiful turn away from the Sun last night.” No, we say “What a beautiful sunset.”
